Ambani, SRK send flowers on Uddhav b’day
Mumbai On his 50th birthday on Tuesday, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray received bouquets from unexpected quarters — Shah Rukh Khan and Mukesh Ambani. It was only two months ago that the Sena had threatened to stall the actor’s movie My Name is Khan for supporting Pakistani cricketers, and slammed the Reliance chairman for saying “Mumbai belonged to all Indians”. In fact, the Reliance group went a step further and released a full-page advertisement with Uddhav’s photo in Sena’s mouthpiece Saamna on Tuesday. “Uddhavji received a number of bouquets from sainiks, businessmen, industrialists all over the state but it was quite surprising to see bouquets from Khan and Ambani. Like others, they also sent their wishes,” said a source. However, it was the Sena who had taken the first step to ease things by inviting Ambani for its May 1 function to celebrate 50 years of Maharashtra’s foundation. Shahrukh says no to ‘Bigg Boss 4’
According to the latest tabloids reports, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has refused to host the fourth season of popular reality television show ‘Bigg Boss’ due to his prior work commitments. “The channel went all out to get Shah Rukh to host ‘Bigg Boss 4’. They even offered him a larger remuneration than Big B. But SRK could not agree to play host because of lack of time,” revealed a source familiar with the matter. The source went on to add, “The dates for ‘Bigg Boss 4’ clashed with Shah Rukh’s shooting schedule for Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2’ with Priyanka Chopra in Bali.”
